Our Scoutmaster Patrol has done some talking about this issue. First and
fore most in all of our minds was not to put any Scouts into a situation that
could get out of control. The requirement I see as critical is the ability
of the Patrol to put together a COMPLETE plan for the activity.
Transportation, safety, supplies, and activities has to be layed out and
discussed prior to setting the date.
We have not done the "no-adult" outing yet due to the age of our Scouts and
learning curve involved. I can see it happening within the next year. We
now have several Scouts that have reached Life and are begining to mature to
a point that I would trust them in an emergency with my life (I'm the High
Adventure Coord. also).
