Just a side note on all this ADD information. I hear many people saying
their kids should've been diagnosed at a younger age. One thing you need
to know as a parent is that if you see signs of problems in your child it
is up to you to ask for help. The school cannot single out your child for
special education of any kind, this includes something as simple as a
minor speech impediment. It is up to you to mention your concerns to the
school and get your child in testing to find out if any school authorities
can help. If not they can then refer you to their sources, after that it
is again up to you.
Watch over your children for no one else will.
