? Maclaren/Baden Powell

In WB I think I remember hearing that someone named Maclaren donated what is
now called Brownsea Island to Baden Powell, and that this became the first
scout camp. Does anyone recall his first name? I used to work with someone
named Maclaren and I want to ask him if this person is a distant relative?
