It seems that the Wood Badge course numbering system varies from region to
region. In the old North Central Region we saw courses starting with the
letters 'NC' followed by a number. Now that we are in the Western Region we
deal with a different system. The initial 'W' stands for Western Region,
followed by the area number, or an 'M' meaning a metropolitan area. Next
comes the council number, and last is the year of the course. So, for those
of us who changed regions, we see a 'new' numbering system, but how about the
other regions?
