Hi all ...
It appears to be time again for some friendly reminders as to
guidelines of posting to scouts-l ... this has been a pretty
bad week of folks forgetting. All these guidelines are sent
to EVERYONE in the WELCOME file you received when you first
subscribed. The major problems have been:
-- Too much quoting! I cannot stress this enough. If you are
NOT willing to heavily edit a quoted message then do NOT
quote.
-- Personal email messages including congratulations (should be
sent privately) and "so and so's email bounced and I'm
sending it to everyone", etc.
-- Try and keep topics limited to scouting and youth groups. I
know there are a lot of political happenings going on in
the US as to Internet and elections and I am as opinionated
as the next person. I just feel that there are so many other
places that these issues are discussed that Scouts-L does
not need to be one.
If you have misplaced your copy of the WELCOME file, you can get
a new one by sending email to "LISTSERV@tcu.edu" with a one line
message (no signature lines) that says "GET SCOUTS-L WELCOME".
You may also view a copy of the file thur the web at:

Thanks for listening. YiS, Jon Eidson, Listowner Scouts-L
