Re: Intro

Well now that I've had the nerve to actually reply to a request out there, I
better introduce my self and the rest of the tribe reading over my shoulder.
My name is Ellen De Vilbiss, and my husband, Ken has been reading Scout-L for
a while at work and bringing home items of interest to share, so a couple of
weeks ago I made him put our home address on too. We are a typical Scouting
Family, lots of hats. We reside in Louisville, Colorado, which is Arapahoe
district in Long's Peak Council. Ken is CM Pack 80, ASM troop 69, Training
Staff, Program Chair (just retiring that one) and working with the Council's
Jamboree Committee. He also used to be a Bear. I'm Tiger Group Coach and Den
Leader for the pack, Cub Roundtable Commissioner, and Training staff. I'm a
recent graduate of W-CS-35, an owl with an atitude. We have 4 kids, all
scouts. John (15) and Jason (11 1/2) are in the troop. John is also in High
Adventure Explorer Post 007. Micheal (7 1/2) is working on his Wolf, a
difficult task as he is both ADHD and low-IQ. Kayleen (6 1/2) is a Brownie,
so we are just beginning to learn the Girl Scouting World.
I've enjoyed following many of the threads out there and so have the kid
s,
especially the older two. Jason is particularly fond of the idea of finding
E-mail pals. Both he and John also read all mail about jamboree as they hope
to go. (I say fine, but they have to earn their way, budget being what it
is.) So keep it up out there! It's great to see the opinions and neat finds
of everyone in Scouting.
