Either that, or someone's taking them to the cleaners but good...
or maybe, we'll all be amazed. It could be made with Java, in
which case it will really shine!
But $40k? I guess that's going to include the hardware to
sit it on (still, a Digital Unix box can be had for $5K or so)
and the phone lines that eventually will have to be run (why
don't they get three or four pair from their existing junction
box?)
It's a large sum. If they bid on it, I really hope that they
get ahold of some of us Scouters that KNOW what we're talking
about with regard to what they are putting it together for.
