Your Council Executive should have a copy of the Council Administration
Guide, which outlines the "differences" between
an "full-service District" (which most of us associate the word
"district" by), a "Managed District" (with a District Director
as opposed to a District Executive or a District Executive team;
those "districts" are "within a district"), and an Exploring
Division (which functions for ALL purposes as a separate District
and therefore, must be trained as a District and why District
awards are ALSO available for Divisions. This Division concept
also applies in local Councils in which are consolidations of
previous two or three Councils (a good example of this would
be the current Central West Virginia Council, which has two
Divisions: one which used to be the old Chief Logan Council, now
called the Logan Division; and the other, which used to be
the Mountaineer Council, now called the Mountaineer Division).

Thanks, Kathie, for the assist...
