Scout Sunday

Roger and the group,
If someone in your church is eligible, the God and Service Award
recognizes both youth work in the church which is non-Scout related and
youth work with Scouts. We effectively brought both groups together on
Scout Sunday by recognizing a leader who had worked with both groups. By
the way, the church does not sponsor a Pack, or Troop formally. However,
the Girl Scouts have used our facility for years and think of it as their
own. Scout Sunday was a good way to bring those youth affiliated with
the church to worship.
By the way, do the Girls Scouts celebrate Scout Sunday the same time the
Boy Scouts do? Since I didn't know for sure when I helped plan the
service and we hadn't had Scout Sunday in so long, I made the assumption
that they did. The Girl Scout leaders that I know said Scout Sunday
isn't publicized (or emphasized?) in their materials as it used to be.
