My Pack also pays the leaders rechartering costs. This has proven
to be an effective way of overcoming at least one disincentive for
adults taking leadership roles. Also, if the Pack can support the
costs of training (in our area usually $5-$15, depending on the
level) it is another way to get people to buy in to the Pack.
Invest in them, and they are invested in the Pack.
For most of the leaders in our group, it is not an issue of $, it
is just a nice way to encourage their participation.
