Scouting magazine does not go to the "new parents" per se. It is sent to
registered "scouters" as a result of them registering to be participating
volunteers. As I said in a previous post, it is the house organ, or
"employee newsletter" for the VOLUNTEER WORKERS of the BSA. No one receives
the magazine because their child signs up for scouting. Only those
registered as "scout leaders" receive it. It is designed to help them
implement the program. No more, no less.
