Greenwich-FCC council merger

Hi all,
I read here a couple of months ago that a merger was being contmplated
between the two councils.
I just spoke to people at both the Greenwich Council and the Fairfield County
Council today. The matter was discussed last night, and I have been assured
by both councils that the proposed merger is not going to take place.
