But you ARE adding to the discussion, Jan...you are!

Scouters' Journal is a print magazine and a really great one at that, to
respond to the lack of REAL Scouting stories and information found in
the official BSA's magazine. It's being printed and published on a shoestring a
nd a prayer (or two) by a great Scouter in the midwest!

Call 1-800-SCOUTER to subscribe to this great magazine....and if you have
a chance, write Terry Howerton, the editor and publisher, and tell him how
you LIKE AND SUPPORT this fine addition to our resource list. Also, please
share the tollfree number with other Scouters in your community and Council.

Don't really know, Jan...perhaps your host system is like Western Kentucky's
(where I was at before now). There, I had to prefix every outgoing message
until our sysadmin wrote a program to put it there before I sent each message.
I had to use MX%"person@location.com" in order to send messages
outward; at Eastern Kentucky University (where I was at before WKU), I had
to use IN%"person@location.com"

What I did when I wanted to send a note to someone (and this really sounds
terrible, but it worked!) was to write the address down exactly as I read it
from the FROM: line (it's one of the last lines before the message starts),
ignoring any brackets (< name >) and then sending a note to that person.
It's hard to do this, especially when you want to reply to a posting.

You might want to talk with your sysadmin and see what things he or she can
make or get to make things easier for you to use.

I'm sorry that I can't be of more help than that, Jan....but I'm glad you're her
e!
