Two area I might touch base with you on. First, when a unit recharters
on time, council give the units their rank patches for free. I think
the cost in underwritten by someone. It is kind of nice gesture and
every little bit helps.

Second, I have promised my council to create some software to track
merit badge councilors. I will be doing so using a db product
called Alpha 4. I have the rights to unlimited distribution of the
runtime of the product which is one of the main reasons to use it
besides it being a pretty good platform to develop from. Anyway,
you are certainly welcome to it and I would appreciate any input
you might have in its development. Once complete, I plan to offer
it to anyone via internet.
