"Class A" skit for Blue and Gold

Dan, I have a skit for you that everyone is still talking about. You
need to get the DAY-O song or I think they call it the Banana Boat
song on tape or CD, which ever you can play loudly. You can use as
many adults as you want. The Leader of the group and in our case the
Cub Master comes out starts lip sinking to the song. Now we dressed in
grass skirts and hats holding bananas for microphones. The other
adults step in during the harmony. Then we walk in the crowd and got
everyone to follow the leaders dancing singing and having a great
time. It's a fun song, you get everyone involved and it sets a upbeat
tone for the evening. I think the reason parents still talk about it
is because they got to participate in singing laughing and follow the
leader dancing. So did the Grandparents. We had almost 200 people
dancing to the song. This year when the Blue and Gold talked about
entertainment and who to get, it was a short discussion. They want us
again. I am looking at the song YMCA this year. Don't tell anyone in
my Pack though. It' a surprise.
Happy Scouting
