I have just sent similar commands to the other lists I'm on, and the listservers
there have set my account to "no mail"

This is what I used to set my mail to "no mail" for the Patch-L, APO-L and
Arrow-L lists. I'll be shutting off Scouts-L/E-Scouts later this evening:

SET PATCH-L NOMAIL
SET APO-L NOMAIL
SET ARROW-L NOMAIL

I have received acknowledgements from each listserver confirming my "choice"
and summarizing what settings I have presently on their list. Also, because
I didn't follow my own advice, it advised me that each line of my signature file
could not be read for commands.

If you are still having problems setting your mail to "nomail", please let
our listowner, Jon Eidson, know. He can do a lot of things that we members
cannot do!
