5th Patch Challenge results

Lisa Varner (lvarner@FREENET.COLUMBUS.OH.US)

Well, I have some winners to report. Let me say that I could not
judge the stories, my co-leaders had to, but they unanimously
picked the one I had already liked for my top choice. As for the
runners-up, it was hard to decide so I had to break a tie.

The winner is: Marc Solomon

Congrats! Now you have to pose the next challenge, Marc. Good luck!

The runners-up are (in no particular order):

John Oakes
George Schmit
Robert Collins

Please send me your addresses and the patches will be on their
way!

All the stories were great and I would love to share them. I
have had requests from the list asking me to post them, but it is
up to the story writers. I will mail back all stories to the
owners. I ask that they think seriously about sharing with the
leaders on the list. They are great stories and do prove why we
are all in this thing called "scouting". I'm sure some of these
stories were tough to write, as they brought back memories many
had put behind them, but if we forget where we came from we
surely cannot know where we are going. If you will send me the
story back, with your ok, I will strip it of names and post it
anonomously for you (hopefully all in one post). If you don't
mind sharing with the list, please post it, for others are very
interested.

YiS,

Lisa Varner << lvarner@freenet.columbus.oh.us >>
Haven't been there. Don't want to go. Don't need another t-shirt!
