I can't say enough good things about the Trails end popcorn program. I am 2
days away from being finished with my first term as District Popcorn
Chairman (all money due in to Council Thurs.). Our District consists as of
today, of 62 traditional units. Of this we had 16 units participate. Last
year there were 19, :-( BUT on the other hand or sales increased by 62% or
an increase in sales of $23,200.
Our Council has 4 districts, and councilwide we realized an increase of
about 31%, of which Baldwin district represented 48%. ( I have been told
that the national avg. is a Council increase of 6%, but I don't know this to
be a fact. I wolud think it to be very low.)
If presented in the right manner, Popcorn can be BIG business for your unit.
I hope next year to be able to get alot more units involved in this program.
Any unit that is having difficulty in making their ends meet and isn't
taking advantage of this Fundraiser is missing the boat, IMHO.
