On a lighter note
Have you ever wanted to travel to the birth place of the World Scouting
Movement? To see the house that Baden Powell lived in? Well here's your
chance!
My name is Vince Silvia ASM of TR. 5 Revere,Ma. Boston Minuteman Council. I
have put together a trip for Scouts AND Scouters to visit our British Cousins
in England. It will be a 14 day trip comprising of a one week stay in London
at the Baden Powell House where we will sightsee London and visit with some
British Scouts.We will stop at Gilwell and then it's on to a regional summer
camp for a week.The trip will take place in the Summer of 1997 before the
Jamboree and the following summer (1998) we will be hosting scouts from there
and they will be attending summer camp here.
Anyone is welcome but scouts MUST BE FIRST CLASS before the date of travel.
(I'm hoping that you will use this as an encouragement for advancement) AT
LEAST ONE CAMPERSHIP will be provided (probably more so don't be shy to ask)
What's included:
round trip air fare
all lodging
breakfast and dinner daily while in London
full time services of a tour director
all transfers and intercity transportation
2 comprehensive tours led by a licsensed local guide
a walking tour led by our tour director
3 day Underground pass (subway)
camping gear will be provided you just need your personal stuff
COSTS are approx $800-1000 and will be kept as low as possible
