this long)

Start with the parents, the Scoutmaster and Assistants. Encourage them to
seek professional help in the community. Also encourage the Scout to stay
in the program, since this is one of the things that he's hanging onto
strongly.

The other members of the Troop's Committee, nor the chartered partner
organization nor the Council needs to be involved, since the matter happened
outside of the program. If you *have to*, inform your District
Executive/Director because he or she (should) will have opportunities to
network with others in the "non-profit" or "service organization" community
that you may not know of, or can provide a introduction to, as opposed to
"cold calling" to a office.

Let us know please, Vince, how things go with this Scout and his family.
I'll be silently praying for the family in the meantime.

Settummanque!
