Candleholder Idea - Help?

Our Pack will be holding a silent auction during our Pinewood Derby to raise
much needed funds. My Webelos Leader wants to have her boys make
candleholders to go with some box tapers for the silent auction. Does anyone
have any ideas/plans for making them out of wood or metal?
