Re: surviving cold, a situation

You express sympathy. You help with a warm fire. You suggest you boil some
water for cocoa.

You check out his bunk to see if he is equipped to stay warm. If he is
underequipped, or even if he just needs a psychological lift, lend him an
extra blanket and put on your shirtjac when you get back into your bunk
without that blanket.
