Speaking only for Boy Scout leader Wood Badge, the ticket is
divided into three parts. Part 1 - Service to Others will list
at least three things you will do with your troop as a service for
Scouting. Part 2 - Goals - will reflect at least three measurable goals,
related to your position, that you will accomplish within your unit. I
won't touch on Part 3 - Personal Growth here. Parts 1 and two were
quoted, in part, from my course guide from this year. The significant
part here is that they deal with the unit, or troop. If an individual
holds positions at the District or Council level as well as within a
troop, he or she must complete the first two parts of the ticket within
the bounds of the troop. For instance, I am a Chartered Organization
Representative, a member of the troop Committee as well as a District
Vice Chairman. I would not be able to write my ticket as the District
Vice Chairman, but as either the Chartered Organization Representative or
Committee Member. A final quote from the guide:
"Remember - this is a Boy Scout Leader Wood Badge and the ticket should
be written to strenghten a Boy Scout troop."
