Jim, I think you found the solution. The siblings have a very short
attention span & the noise indicates that they don't see anything that
interests them. A change in format may help. Perhaps you could enlist the
help of one of the primary grade teachers to critique your meeting format.
Use Program Helps to plan the Pack meeting. Project displays can be the
gathering activity to set the mood for the theme. Use a quiz game or project
judging as a mixer. Break up the awards and announcements with skits, songs,
and sparklers. Provide some refreshments. Hold their interest with
showmanship. Keep it short; start and end on time. Get trained if you
aren't; attend a Pow Wow and Roundtables for ideas and information.
