George,
Events like the one you described and the realizations (sometimes
awakenings) that go with them are always priceless and wonderful to
share. After all this is what Scouting is all about - making a difference
for the youth members. Giving boys like the Webelos Cub a safe
environment to grow and learn in will make a difference in their lives in
the years to come. I'm glad that you stepped back and thought about your
experience, saw just how wonderful it was, and then shared it with the
rest of us. Just goes to show that being there for the Scouts is
important too.
