The Varsity device was dropped from the current version of the Insignia
Guide, but it's still available... the device # is 5103J.
Varsity and Venture Scouts are considered "older Boy Scouts".

Here's the total count of what ALL youth members may wear:
Merit Medal
Heroism Medal
Honor Medal (with or without crossed palms)
Youth Religious Emblem(s)
Hornaday BADGE (only)...the knot is supposely only for those holders of the
medal, but we all know that once National has you on their database,
you can request the knot for wear
That's four square knots and one badge.
There's EIGHT that can be worn by youth Boy Scouts/Varsity Scouts/Explorers:
The five listed above, PLUS:
Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award
Exploring Achievement Award
Quartermaster Award
(note that the Hornaday Badge/knot is considered one of the eight)
The Eagle knot and the Arrow of Light knots CANNOT (or aren't supposed to,
anyways) BE worn by youth members. Those two have patches that the youth
members are supposed to wear. The Quartermaster Award also has a patch that
youth members can wear, but it's not a regular thing.
Hope that helps!
