Making rope

John Hall (John.Hall@SCIATL.COM)

I opened my big mouth at a Pack leaders meeting about my troop making
rope when I was in Boy Scouts about a million years ago and guess
what? I'm in charge of developing a rope-making machine and
demonstration that we will use in three weks at our Scout Show!

Any words of wisdom on where I can find some resources to help me with
this? Actually, I still have the rope I made and seem to remember
that we uses a crank powered gizmo with three eye hooks on it that let
us twist strands of hemp twine together. We twisted three pieces of
twine together, repeated that two more times and then twisted those
three strands together to make the rope.

Anyway, please send me any advice or ideas on where to get some plans
for this little project.
