I was not intending to flame Jess. And, yes, our opinions diverge.
I have replied in more detail to him in a direct (not-to-the-list) message,
to avoid wasting the list space with more detail. If anyone else would like
a copy of my reply, simply let me know.
If there is sufficient interest to continue in public, I will be happy to do
so. I suspect, however, the debate is simply between Jess and I, and our
choice of words.
