Yearly Intro

Terry Slade (TMSLADE@PCAD-ML.ACTX.EDU)

I have been on the list for about a year now and with all the new
members, I thought it might be nice to re-introduce myself.
As a scout, I made to the rank of life. When my nephew joined
scouting as a first grader, I came along to just help out a little.
Big mistake!
I served as den leader for 6 months until being tapped for
cubmaster. After 3 years, I moved to committee for 2 more years. I
have served as a unit commissioner for 3 years and asst. scout master
for 4 years. My job in the troop as asm was webelos recruiter and I
guess I did a good job as our troop is over 150 scouts and 45
leaders. I was just honored with Vigil in the OA and will now be the
troops OA adviser. I am on the CLBT staff, as well as cub roundtable staff.
I was sent to NCS so that I could run webelos camp for the last 2
years. I was also informed that my name was put in as distrist
activity chairman for next year. Woodbadger in SR-XI as an Eagle and
so on and so on......
While in Cincinatti last week training for the PBS station I work
for as an electronics engineer, I had the chance meeting of a fellow
member of our circle at their local scout shop on a patch hunting
trip. What a small world.
I live in Amarillo, Texas about 1/2 way between N.M. and Oklahoma
on I-40. We are 4 hours from Philmont and offer lodging to or from
in our scout building.
My hobbys are scouting, scouting, and scouting... YiS
