Well, our PLC's, I talk as an ASM and a formal SPL, Scribe, PL, APL,
etc..., were held once a month, for a duration of 1 1/2 to 2 hours
(generally). We alternated between homes of the members of the PLC. (The
moms/wives would usually have some desert waiting for us!) As for an
incentive to participate, besides the free grub, the SM would simply
remind us of the responsibilities of our positions. If a member of the
PLC failed to show, without good cause, to a number of meetings, he could
expect to be replaced with somebody who cares, and he knew it.
If you are new to PLC's, they include the SM, ASMs, SPL, ASPL, all PLs, the
Scribe, the Quartermaster, the Troop Guide, and often our CC.
Good luck with your PLCs! (Hint...) Let your SPL run the show. It is,
afterall, a youth organization.
