Here's a variation of the Gilwell Song that seems
to work out well for our troop:
Scouting, Happy Land
(Patrol Song)
tune: Gilwell
Leader says: "Do we have any
(first patrol name) in camp?"
Song is then sung by each patrol (in
alphabetical order), then troop
staff sings last verse. Insert patrol
name inside parentheses.
Each patrol stands up or steps forward for
their verse; entire troop sings each
chorus.
Verse:
I am a mighty (staffer), a good old (staffer)
too;
You've never seen some (staffing)? I'll
show you what we do.
We're always true and honest, the Scout
Law is our guide,
And we'll climb our way to Eagle, yes we can.
Chorus:
Back to Scouting, Happy Land;
We'll climb our way to Eagle, yes we can.
