In reading Marc's comments together with the thread dealing with negative vs. po
sitive reinforcement, I was reminded of assembling the Troop for a Klondike Derb
y outing. It so happened that a local church had a pancake day on the day of our
district Klondike. I suggested that anyone who wanted to stop for pancakes befo
re leaving for the Klondike Derby meet promptly at 7 am & we would go (in unifor
m) for pancakes. Seem as though the thought of having a good breakfast before le
aving was a positive incentive because by 7:15 we were off to breakfast. I've us
ed this successfully on several times.
