Getting to Philmont

There have been some posts lately concerning transportation to Philmont. We
went this summer from California on AMTRAK and really enjoyed the trip.
Although it was a bit long (40 hours one way), the Scouts and adults did
well. We planned to fly, but would have been difficult (and expensive) to get
from Albuquerque to Philmont.
After we got to Philmont, we found out that there is now a private bus
service that runs from Albuquerque to Philmont. The price is around $35 (not
sure if that is RT or OW). Philmont should have the number to contact for
more info. If you are flying into Alburquerque, this would certainly be a
good alternative.
