Humorous, I'm not sure, but surely shake your head in bewilderment....A local
Cadette troop went on a winter campout, solely for the purpose of having
winter type fun (ie, sledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing etc).
Amazingly, one Cadette came with a pair of 'deck shoes' and a pair of good
sneakers, but low and behold NO BOOTS! Also no mittens/gloves. Alas, the
poor girl stayed inside or on well shoveled (plowed) walkways doing very
little, while the rest of the girls were out well past midnight having
fun in the snow. Please keep in mind these girls have all been in GS
since Daisies (Kindergarten) and had been going on this type of campout
for several years!

BTW, there was 2 feet of snow at home for departure, the camp site was a
good hour NORTH.
