In response to your questions regarding alleged drug use.
I would suggest a meeting with the SM, and scout. I would hold off getting
the parents involved right away. You should verify the information, and, if
you can determine that this is in fact the problem, I would recommend meeting
with the SM, scout, parents, and the DE to determine the course of action the
council, the troop and the scout wants to take.
Dont jump to conclusions, until you can prove it one way or another.
One other word of advice, DOCMUENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT!
If the problem persists, or worse yet, if the scout is caught be law
enforcement, you are going to want some backup paperwork, so that the troop
is not found withholding information.
