Mike:
Check with your Council and ask them to contact the International Division of
the BSA (at the National Office). You can request an "International Letter
of Introduction." This is sort of a passport issued in cooperation with the
World Organization of the Socuting Movement (WOSM). BSA International
Division will provide you with a local contact (typically at the local
National level). You could contact them on arrival or correspond with them
prior to your visit and hopefully get a local contact at the volunteer level
to meet and greet.
Good Luck and Have a Good Visit
Yours in Scouting
