G'day Folks,
MJP> FROM PROSPEAK/JULY 1995
MJP> Can Foreign Scouts Join the BSA?
MJP> "A Boy Scout from another country who either temporarily
MJP> resides in, or has moved premanently to, the United States
Lots deleted.....
MJP> Beverly Myers, associate director,
MJP> International Division
Does this Beverly Myers have an e-mail address, ikf not a mail address, because
even though this area is American dominated, there are several countries - if
not most who have totally integrated Scouting I do get a little upset when I
see the reference to the term Boy Scouts. I AM NOT BEING DEROGATORY. I know of
a 13 year old girl, whose father is in the military and is taking his family
to the USA in the near future, the girl may want to join Scouts for the time
she is there, I am not entering into the argument, but when talkking on an
international level I think the term Boy from the Boy Scouts and the title of
he/him needs to be addressed.
I'm not trying to start a long discussion or a fight, just want to clear up a
few things.
TTFN
