Another ingredient that I always add to my dutch oven dump cakes is
cinamon. I always have it in a unmarked container and the scouts know
that this is Mr. Mike's secret ingredient. I always sprinkle it on
top before cooking. I have this story about my secret ingredient that
I prepare myself ( pack legend). I have also found the roasted corn
is a big favorite with the webelos when we have hobo meals. I take
whole ears of corn , soak the ears in water ( a large freezer bag is
excellent and will hold four ears) soak for 30 minutes and then
place directly the ears on the hot coals and turn twice. Cooks in about 20-25
minutes. Then I always have a 1 lb block of oleo for the boys to
butter the corn. Its great!! Of course the boys are amazed that you
can cool without the pot..
