I'm glad to see that your son has stayed on to help the troop. I see too
many boys who, once they get that Eagle are out the door and don't give
anything back to Scouting.
Thirteen is young for an Eagle. But, there are some boys who are mature and
ready for the Eagle at thirteen, and others who even at eighteen are not
ready. I sit on between 20 and 30 Eagle Boards every year and I think the
youngest that I have ever done in the past 6 yeas is fourteen, the oldest 18
1/2.
