Robin,
You probably have done this but, . . poll the committee to be sure the meeting day and time is convenient for the majority (Monday night football or some other activity could interfere :-)); set an agenda in advance and stick to it but leave time for optional discussion (perhaps with coffee) at the end; keep the meeting length reasonable.
