Question # 1: Are Saturday mornings (9:00-10:30) good for Den
Meetings? We've been meeting on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00, but
weeknights have been rather hectic for me, and the boys seem somewhat
wild, too, at that hour. The "plus" and "minus" issues:
+1. It would be easier for me.
+2. Boys could focus on homework and family on weeknights.
+3. Greater range of possible outdoor activities.
-1. WOULD PROBABLY INTERFERE WITH SOCCER.
Question # 2: Can Wolves and Bears be combined as one den?
BACKGROUND. Our Pack has only four leaders: a Cubmaster and his
Assistant (who doubles as the 2nd-Year Webelos leader), both of whom
will be leaving the pack within a few months; a Webelos Den Leader,
just moved up from Bears; and me, a mid-year replacement Wolf Den
Leader who intends to stay with the program. (My son is in the den.)
There are no prospects in sight for new leadership. Among other
things, I'm worried about any new Wolves who might want to join in
September. (I've been appointed to serve as the Scouting Night
coordinator from my pack, hence my worry.)
