Now to the point. After 25 years in Alaska, I live in mountain Idaho.
National Jamborees are in a steam bath in Virginia for all my senses can
say; and NOAC in Tennessee was another steam bath. I don't think that the
folks that organize these things necessarily realize that for some of us
what they appreciate by way of air conditioning is what we experience by
gift of God in our daily outdoor existance. Boy did I suffer running around
NOAC to the next session in another not-air-conditioned room. I thought I
was going to die. When Uncle sent me to a steam bath for two years once,
obviously much worse than Tennessee, I was at least 24 years younger and
forty pounds lighter... and I swore off all that stuff. Now National sent
me back....
