People who live in the "cooler" parts of the country don't tend to realize
how the heat can dehydrate one _very_ quickly. The big problem that _I_ see
is people leaving pets and young children in cars.
_NEVER_, _NEVER_, _EVER_ leave a child or pet alone in a locked car! You may
return to find your child or pet _DEAD_. This is true for _all_ parts of the
world, desert or not.
I believe that there is now a case where a young mother is charged with
murder for leaving her two boys in a car, causing their deaths.
