Good Morning to all of Scouts-L:
I'm back at work after only two days at summer camp with my troop. Had to
leave to go to work, but left the Scouts in some of the worst weather I have
had in all my camping (26 years) at the camp (Tomahawk Scout Reservation).
For folks who were temps over the winter get into the -40 F range seems
normal, 100 F with 68 F dew points giving a Heat Index of 107 F is not
normal. Other places in the USA and the world get hotter I know. I'll take
the 114 F temps I was in while visiting my folks in Las Vegas, NV over this
tropical heat any day. Nice dry heat.
The weather people are saying we have two more days of this stuff before we
get relief. It has been very hard to get this Scouts to drink enough water
so we don't lose any. I personally drank 3 gallons of water Sunday and so
far this morning am up to one gallon and it's only 10:00 AM.
While at camp, a met up with Steve Tobin, another Scouts-L(er) and the
creater of the NetWoods Virtual Campsite. Had a great time talking with
Steve about how he created the Virtual Campsite, keeping it updated, and the
NET in general.
If you what to checkout The NetWoods Virtual Campsite, set you WEB Browser to

I'm off to teach on school educator about Multi-media computing and the NET.
Finally, thanks to everyone's input into Scouts-L. You all have some of the
greatest useful information for youth group around.
YIS,
