I again respond to this subject of LDS Scouting. I am a Scoutmaster as well
as a District Executive in the Choctaw Area Council. We have a troop of 16
Scouts with three being non-members of our church. They are as welcome as
any other boys who are interested in the program. We do not try or attempt
to recruit these boys to the LDS church but we do expect them to adhere to
the same expectations of the LDS boys in the troop which is basically the 12
points of the Scout Law as well as the Scout Oath. Again I must say that the
only differences in the program come with the LDS Blazer program as well as
the way we devide up the ages to make a troop, team and post available to all
