QUESTION: Your tentage recommendation please?

Alastair Honeybun (AHONEYBUN@PLATYPUS.CS.COWAN.EDU.AU)

G'Day,

It's time to retire our Troops 20 year old Patrol bell tents. The canvas
is almost thin enough now to use for screen printing!

The Troop council have requested 3 man dome tents to be the preferred
replacements so that they can be used for hikes and static camps.

What type/brand of dome tent could you recommend?

I have a brochure on the DMH Vegas Extra and have seen the Trailmaster
Jupiter. One uses fiberglas and one uses aluminium poles. Which are
the better poles to use. I have been told that the aluminium poles
are lighter (?).

Does your Troop use domes? What are the brands and pricing?

Look forward to your replies.

Please reply direct to A.Honeybun@cowan.edu.au as I am not subscribed
to this list at present.
