Reforestation Projects

I am involved with a workshop for the Global Development Village at the
World Jamboree in Holland this summer. The theme of the workshop is
"Reforestation". I would like to describe and discuss various reforestation
activities that Scouts around the world are involved in. For example, here
in Canada we have our national tree planting program called "Scoutrees for
Canada". This year Scouts Canada will plant their 50 millioneth tree. My
troop, like other Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Venturers and Rovers across Canada,
gets involved by collecting pledges from the community and then by planting
trees. A portion of the funds raised is donated to the World Brotherhood
Fund, an a portion helps support Scouting at the local level.
What kinds of reforestation activities do your youth get involved with? Do
you a national program in your country? What is being done at the local
