Kids' Gender Roles

I'm interested in exploring with parents how they perceive their kids'
choices about "appropriate" gender roles. Do your kids seem to have a greater
sense of gender equality than you did growing up? Are they getting mixed
messages about what it means to be a boy or girl in today's society? And what
legacies and rituals are you passing along that affect their notions of
gender roles?
Also: How does scouting contribute to children's ideas about male-female
equality, differences, roles, etc.
Please address all responses to me PERSONALLY at AmyBstein@AOL.COM. I'm
writing a book on this topic, and appreciate all thoughtful input. NO
material will be used without EXPLICIT permission from the correspondent.
