Bridges

Kia ora!

I have another request.

I was going on a training this weekend as a trainee but have had to step in as
a trainer as one of the two who were going has a family gathering she has to
attend. The training is a PL and Leader Training and a Sixer and Leader
training (2 trainings at the same site this weekend - but at least some of my
activities are joint).
I was already taking one small segment - a half hour wide game (involving 115
Brownies and 26 Guides). I nearly have that under control :)

What I am in need of is some things for Colours which I am taking on Sat
morning (We are GMT +12 so it is about 36 hours away - short notice!). Before
the flag ceremony we usually have a prayer and a short (2-5 mins) thought
provoking story with a link to the theme for the weekend. The theme for this
weekend is "Building Bridges" and at the moment I have not come up with the
story or prayer.
If anyone has anything that would fit the bill please could you e-mail rather
than posting (otherwise there is no guarantee that I will see it in time as I
leave tomorrow (Fri) evening). I will summarise any responses I get after the
weekend.

Thanks to everyone who replied on my K.P. query :) i was swamped with replies!
The consensus was split between Kitchen Patrol and Kitchen Police and most
people agreed on a military origin.
Thanks for your time :)
