I might as well as my unusual story as well.
When I got my Eagle (in 82), letters and invites were sent to various
"politicos, legislators and important persons" as was practice in our
district at the time. Many responded by sending congratulatory letters or
proclamations. Some came in person. Some were sent to me personally,
before the CoH.
One such letter came to me from a NY state legislator. Apparently signals
got crossed somewhere in his office. The enclosed certificate congratulated
me on becoming a US citizen!
I still have it to this day.
